Description

ShardaCare – Healthcity Super Speciality Hospital represents a major expansion of Sharda University’s healthcare presence in Greater Noida. Spread across five acres, the 305-bed Block 10A facility was envisioned as the corporate wing of Sharda Hospital, combining world-class medical infrastructure with a design approach that emphasizes compassion, comfort, and patient-centered care.

The hospital program is vertically organized over 2,70,000 Sq.Ft, with oncology and nuclear medicine housed in the lower basement, diagnostics and outpatient clinics in the upper basement, and executive health check-up services on the ground and first floors. Clinical and interventional services are positioned in proximity to diagnostic units and the blood bank to ensure efficiency and rapid response. Dedicated endoscopy, dialysis, and emergency areas strengthen the infrastructure for time-sensitive care.

The surgical platform includes five modular operation theatres equipped with three-stage air filtration, gas scavenging systems, advanced pendants, anaesthesia workstations, and digital information management systems. Critical care is distributed across Levels 4 and 5, comprising 60 beds for medical, surgical, cardiac, neonatal, paediatric, neuroscience, and transplant ICUs. Each unit is equipped with high-end monitoring devices, ventilators, isolation rooms, and 24/7 bedside support for dialysis, bronchoscopy, and endoscopy. Specialized transplant centres integrate dedicated ICUs with HEPA filtration, veno-venous bypass systems, and state-of-the-art anaesthesia equipment.

Maternity services are consolidated within three dedicated labour and birthing suites, supported by an adjacent operating theatre to reduce surgical response times. Inpatient accommodation ranges from oncology wards and twin-sharing rooms to three VIP suites and a presidential suite, offering a continuum of comfort options.

The design brief emphasized creating spaces that feel restorative rather than purely clinical. Interiors draw from biophilic principles, natural light, and chakra-inspired colour palettes that differentiate floors and aid wayfinding. Rounded forms, organic motifs, and mandala-inspired patterns reinforce a sense of continuity and calm. Material selections include wood, terrazzo, stone, and recycled finishes—balancing durability with hospitality-like warmth.

Planning and interiors were guided by benchmarks from leading global institutions such as Sloan Kettering and Johns Hopkins, adapted to the Indian context. Floor layouts separate public, clinical, and inpatient functions while providing intuitive circulation. Amenities such as cafés, family waiting zones, and prayer rooms reinforce the hospital’s tagline: “Hope Lives Here.”

Sharda Care – Health City sets a new standard for tertiary care in India. For patients, it delivers a holistic healing environment that combines advanced clinical systems with emotionally intelligent interiors. For the client, it establishes a resilient, digitally integrated healthcare hub aligned with global best practices and the institution’s mission of quality, innovation, and compassion.
