The vision here was to create a master plan that would be the most cost effective from a site development point of view, facilitate phased development of the campus, and yet provide the maximum Data Centre space per acre of the plot.

The plot being more rectangular, helped place the long and rectangular Data Centre block modules without creating too many awkward and unusable pockets.. However the contours and the fact that there was external road access available only on one side of the plot meant that the placements had to be done carefully. The site infrastructure such as network fibre routes had to be planned carefully so as to facilitate phased development without any risk of downtime for the operational Data Centre blocks.
