ATAL AKSHAY URJA BHAVAN, DELHI has been awarded the 2nd prize at the S K Sharma HUDCO Design Awards 2019-2020 under the "Green Buildings" category. Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) is a public sector company, under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India serving the nation since 1970 and celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year in 2020 which makes the award more special. The design of the project incorporates a variety of passive and active environmental strategies with net-zero and sustainable interventions that ensure the building achieves net-zero carbon emissions. We believe this award is an affirmation of the fact that the overwhelming need of the hour is to address the energy needs of the country, especially the kind that does not negatively impact the environment.
