Women’s Day_women professionals at Edifice Consultants- Meet Pranay Manjiri, CSR Head
“Many rural areas in India have little access to amenities and resources, limiting the potential and self-sufficiency of the women who live there. Through such programmes, we use education as a powerful tool to empower these women and create a better future for them,” says Pranay Manjari, who leads skill-building initiatives like the Atmaja Program under the ambit of Edifice Foundation.
The Atmaja Program provides vocational training to the mothers and sisters of students at Edifice Foundation’s in-school programme, empowering women from underprivileged communities at Cheetacamp, Mumbai. They are supported through several skill-based initiatives facilitated by the community itself -- like tailoring, 'mehendi' and fabric-painting classes. Beyond equipping them with useful skills, Pranay believes that these classes instil a sense of dignity and pride in these women.
“At Edifice Foundation, our objective is to provide access to opportunities and resources so that the marginalized and vulnerable communities , especially girls, are empowered to create a livelihood for themselves and take full control of their lives. Our students are bright, passionate individuals who only need support and encouragement to create a better life for themselves – and we are proud to get the chance to provide that extra push.”
Pranay Manjari is the CSR Head of Edifice Consultants, spearheading social initiatives by the firm through its community outreach wing, Edifice Foundation. Pranay aspires to work towards promoting gender equity through education and media. A vocal advocate for women empowerment and bringing education to marginalized communities, Pranay has realized several initiatives and campaigns for the same.
This March, Edifice Consultants celebrates the exemplary women of our team, inspiring a new generation to #ChooseToChallenge and helping shape a more equitable future through their lives and work.
