“With many women occupying positions of authority in the AEC industry, I believe that the industry will eventually transform to become more people-centric than profit-centric,” says Gauri Gore.

Gauri Gore is the Project Head for Bengaluru at Edifice Consultants. “I think the most important thing for professional success is to believe in yourself and be confident in your thoughts and ideas that you represent through design. I believe women are more perceptive and sensitive to end-user requirements and this is our key differentiator as female designers,” she says.

Her approach is characterized by sensitivity to context and sustainability as exhibited through her portfolio of projects. She also mentors the young designers in the Bangalore studio and works extensively on community outreach initiatives undertaken by Edifice Consultants.

Gauri has been the lead designer for the Victor MTB Tower in Bengaluru. “This was my first commercial project and I was lucky to see the entire process of design and execution till occupancy. Achieving a balance between the business’ requirements and creating interesting, end-user focused spaces was the key learning for me through the project’s journey. It is a learning that I have tried to imbibe into every subsequent project that I have worked on,” she says.

A multi-tenanted commercial complex located in Bengaluru’s Whitefield Tech Park, the Ascendas Victor tower is designed to provide an energized and inspired work environment offering world-class amenities. The façade has been designed in line with the aesthetics of its surrounding structures, which mainly comprise office complexes, malls and luxury hotels.

Victor Tower is a contemporary and innovative building, with an efficient floor plate layout and environment-conscious design interventions. It is a USGBC-certified green building with a Platinum category for Core and Shell design.
