Ravi Sarangan, Director and Co-Founder of #EdificeConsultants, reminisces the studio’s three-decade journey to becoming one of India’s most respected architecture firms, in conversation with Architects & Interiors India magazine for their May issue. “From starting off in a small 16x9ft garage in #Chembur to currently running 8 regional branches, including three full-fledged design studios pan-India, our core principles have sustained throughout,” he reflects.

Being a strong proponent of practising collaborative architecture, he is eager to get back to the Edifice Consultants studio. “I miss my office! I love the open, engaging studio environment: we have no cabins; it was a conscious design decision to encourage learning through collaborative work. An open–plan workspace with a raw, natural material palette, it has abundant natural light with tall windows and high ceilings. Most of all, what makes our office thrive are the high energy levels of each member of our team — the Edifice Consultants studio is the perfect embodiment of our ethos,” he declares.
