Aarti Naik - the Founder of Sakhi - was the second guest speaker at CLC. She grew up in Mumbai’s slums; today, she has educated and empowered hundreds of girls like herself.

Through her interactions with the students, Aarti has boldly breached taboo topics like menstruation and bullying in the classroom. Her efforts have led to children opening up and discussing these issues openly and fearlessly with each other, despite their initial hesitation.

Edifice Foundation is inviting people from all walks of life to interact with the students at the Community Learning Centre, Mumbai. We aim to inspire these students through real-life success stories such as Aarti’s.
